Carbon fiber carbon fiber composite materials, as advanced composite materials in the 21st century, have been widely used in aerospace, automotive manufacturing, medical equipment, sports goods and other fields, and are deeply loved by people. Now, let me explain the performance changes of carbon fiber composite materials under different small-scale tests and humidity environments.


-Under 550c, humidity, and humid and hot environments, the individual performance test values of carbon fiber composite materials have large dispersion coefficients, indicating poor performance stability in abnormal engineering application environments. Temperature has almost no effect on carbon fiber, but has a significant impact on the resin matrix and interface- The increase in resin brittleness at 550c leads to a corresponding increase in modulus, and the tensile strength of unidirectional carbon fiber materials in the 900 direction decreases with the increase of testing temperature. In other cases, the tensile strength does not change much, and the compressive strength decreases with the increase of testing temperature.


Fick's second law states that in the initial stage of moisture absorption of carbon fiber composite materials in water, the moisture absorption rate is linearly related to the square root of the moisture absorption time. The moisture absorption rate of orthogonal laminated carbon fiber composite materials is always higher than that of unidirectional carbon fiber composite materials. Under humid and hot conditions, its mechanical properties decrease, especially the interlayer shear strength. After soaking in 70+-50 water for 336 hours, it was found through testing that the interlayer shear strength retention rates of unidirectional and laminated carbon fiber composite materials at 700c temperature were 74.30% and 57.20%, respectively.


Overall, carbon fiber composite materials can still maintain their human like characteristics well in harsh environments.
